Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BSN)
professional degree approved by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council. The program combines theoretical education and extensive clinical training in hospitals and community settings. The curriculum combines basic sciences (Anatomy, Microbiology) with nursing theory, research and mandatory clinical rotations. It emphasizes leadership, ethics and patient-centered care. Students complete clinical rotations throughout the course, six-month internship and must obtain BNMC registration after graduation to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Admission Requirements
1. Minimum qualifications will be HSC in science group or equivalent. Biology subject is mandatory.
2. Students will be selected on merit basis. Merit score will be determined from cumulative result of GPA
in SSC, HSC has to be minimum GPA 7.00 and an individul GPA should be minimum 2.50 & admission test which will be decided by admission committee.
3. Successful candidates must submit their medical fitness certificate before admission.
4. Admission test will be conducted as per Act Of BNMC-2016 according to admission policy.
Key Aspects of the Program
• Duration & Structure: 4 years, divided into yearly academic terms.
• Clinical Training: Significant emphasis on 48 hours of weekly clinical practice starting from
the 2nd year, involving hospital postings and Objective Structured Clinical Examination
(OSCE).
• Core Subjects
(Year 1-2): Anatomy & Physiology, Behavioral Science, Fundamentals of Nursing, Microbiology,
Nutrition.
Year 3-4: Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health
Nursing, Maternal & Child Health Nursing, Midwifery, Nursing Management, and Research.
• Assessment: Both formative and summative assessments (written, oral, and practical exams).

• To meet the healthcare needs of the community and manage complex health problems.
Placement
Freshers at RTMI Nursing College receive basic nursing training at RTMI Ma-O-Shishu Hospital. After completing the 1st year, students are sent for clinical practice at MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet.
Students also complete their internship program at MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet, gaining practical experience and professional confidence for their nursing career.
